Cuttack won the OCA Inter-District Women Cricket Tournament for the fifth year in a row, trouncing Keonjhar by nine wickets in the lop-sided final at Bidanasi ground here today. The champion team received a cash prize of Rs 15,000 and the runners-up team Rs 10,000. Earlier in the semifinals Keonjhar eliminated formidable Bhubaneswar by six wickets, while Cuttack prevailed over Bolangir by four wickets.
Odisha Cricket Association treasurer Satya Mohanty handed over the trophy. OCA Joint-Secretary Sanjib Dutta, Women Cricket Selector Bidhan Rout, OCA Member Birendra Kumar Behera and senior umpire CP Mohapatra were present on the occasion.
